Tea (she/her) hails from St. Petersburg, Florida, and began Scottish Highland dance at age 12. She trained at the Patricia Ann Dance Studio and the Pinellas County Center for the Arts before earning her B.F.A. in 2020 from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee College of Music and completing Hubbard Street's professional training program in the same year.

Tea has performed with various companies such as American Repertory Theatre, Fukudance, Adam Weinert and Company, Dance in the Parks Chicago, Little Fire Artist Collective, Aerial Dance Chicago, Groundworks DanceTheater and as a guest artist at Walnut Hill School for the Arts.

She has been commissioned for new choreographic works by Bellare Carmel,  Dance in the Parks Chicago, and Groundworks Dancetheater.

Tea has also attended various intensive training programs at Next Generation Ballet, Alonzo King Lines Ballet, the School at Jacob's Pillow, the One Body One Career Countertechnique workshop, Bodytraffic, and Peridance, 

As a movement teacher she has been on faculty at Patricia Ann Dance Studio, Mass Motion Dance, New England Youth Dance Exchange, Cleveland Dance Project, The Rainey Institute, Shaker Dance Academy, and Cleveland Community College Creative Arts Academy.

 

In 2016, she launched Ballet Naked as an independent ongoing project and in 2021, held the first Pro.noun Dance Project in order to increase visibility of queer and trans artists. Teagan is inspired by her experience as a trans woman to create new work that exists within the canon of queer artworks. Her work attempts to encompass the entire range of human emotion and create new works that are intentional and meaningful to all.

 

She lives in Cleveland, Oh with her boyfriend Jason and enjoys good food and good friends.
